Like in many states the Massachusetts Attorney General has broad powers to enforce various civil and criminal statutes. We have had many cases of all kind with the Attorney General, understand the Office’s priorities and the laws that the Attorney General enforces. Our team includes the Attorney General’s former Chief of Gaming Enforcement.
On the criminal side, the Attorney General enforces laws relating to public corruption, gaming/casinos and illegal gambling, money laundering, drug and gun trafficking, environmental contamination, human trafficking, white collar fraud, including insurance, unemployment and embezzlement fraud, Medicaid fraud, and criminal use of excessive force by police.
On the civil side, the Attorney General enforces laws relating to the regulation of wage and hour laws, consumer protection, data security, false claims, insurance and financial services, health care, civil environmental investigations, asset forfeiture.
