For the second year in a row, Butters Brazilian is a sponsor of the State Police Association of Massachusetts Benevolent Fund Gala. The Gala will be held at the UMass Club in Boston on November 18, 2023. The Benevolent Fund provides support to families of first responders killed in the line of duty. Additionally, the Fund provides support to first responders and their families in certain times of need, such as extended illness, injury, or other substantial hardship. The Benevolent Fund also supports the health and wellness of our first responders, their families, and members of our community that are in need. Furthermore, the Benevolent Fund has expanded its role to support community engagement.

The Benevolent Fund is the charitable arm of the State Police Association of Massachusetts. The Association is the largest bargaining unit representing law enforcement in Massachusetts.

Since 2019, Butters Brazilian has represented the Association. Butters Brazilian partner Patrick Hanley is General Counsel to the Association. Butters Brazilian partner Elizabeth Keeley represents the Association in significant litigation in
Superior Court and the Department of Labor Relations. Attorney Keeley also represents individual members in state and federal civil rights matters.
